Scrapbook Tabs
Scrapbook tabs go from boring to fun and fanciful!These tabs are fun scrapbooking embellishments. They resemble the tabs on file folders, although, they can take much fancier and more whimsical forms. Tabs can be used for labeling pages with names, dates and other bits of text. Let's look at some of the ways we can used tabs.
Use tabs as a mini canvas for stickers, rub-ons and other small embellishments. Tabs made from patterned or decorative papers make great embellishments on their own. Captions for photos Divide sections of albums (recipe, heritage)
Pre-made scrapbooking tabs can be purchased and decorated, or make your own to fit your scrapbooking needs and style. Tabs can be cut from card stock or paper of your choice. Rectangle Tab
Cut a rectangle from paper or card stock big enough for desired text or embellishment. Allow for about ½” at the bottom of tab to mount under photo or page element. Use corner rounder punch to round top corners of tab. Add text or embellishments to tab. Adhere to back of photo, journaling box or other page element.
Semi-Circle Tab
Use a circle punch big enough for desired text embellishment. Punch a circle out of a piece of card stock approximately ½” wider than the circle. Fold card stock with circle punched out so that circle is folded in half. Lightly trace the inside of the circle and out about 1/2” on both side onto paper or card stock. Leave about 1/2” at bottom to mount under photo or page element. Cut the tab out and add text or embellisments. - Adhere to back of photo, journaling box or other page element.
