My Hometown Scrapbook

Hometown scrapbook...create a legacy!

My hometown will always have a special place in my heart. Creating a scrapbook is a wonderful way to celebrate and pay tribute to your hometown.

Share some of those fond memories while you teach your family a little about the town you grew up in. You can still make a hometown album even if you have several hometowns.

Include photos and information about places and experiences you had growing up. Include a section for trips you make back to your hometown.

If you never left your hometown, display photos of then and now. Show how some things have changed and some things have remained the same.

Here are some things you can include in your hometown album:

  • List of top ten things you like about your hometown

  • List of things you like to do, or places you like to go

  • Map of your hometown. Lay a piece of velum over the map to note special places

  • Postcards

  • Photos

  • Newspaper clippings of past or current events

If you have moved around quite a bit, try a variation on the hometown album. Create an album that pays tribute to all the places you have lived.

Create a section for each location that includes all the things you loved about it. Some things you may want to include for each location are:

  • Map of that location

  • Photos of family home

  • Journal about that area and experiences there

  • Address and phone number from that location

  • Photos and journaling about some favorite locations and activities

This album will be a treasured record of the families homes for generations.
