Cricut expression. What do I need for it?

I just purchased the Cricut Expression after doing so many albums without it. I heard how much fun and how great it was. I have never used one before.

I know you need to get cartridges for them, is there anything else I need, or is good to get? What do you like to use. Is the software very useful? Do I need ink for it?

I am going to be using it for scrapbooking. I am going to be working on my wedding album, then the babies album next. I would appreciate any advice on what I need for it, or what would be good to get.

For any one who doesn't know Joanns Fabric will match anyones price, and the Cricut Expression is on Angelscraps.com for only $219 right now or you can just buy it through them, it's the cheapest price I've found.

Getting Started
by: Melanie

Thank you for taking time to submit your question. Some of my friends have a Cricut and they love them. It is still on my wish list.

I don't have a lot of personal experience with them yet, but I think there are a few tools you will want to start out with, and many you can add as you go.

Some basics I think will get you going are some cartidges that relate to your scrapbook themes, so far wedding and baby. If they don't include fonts you may want to find one that does.

It looks like there are inks. Replacement cutting blades will be something to keep in mind. If you have them on hand then you will be prepared when it's time to change them.

This site has some good information on Cricut machines and accessories.

You can also visit the Cricut official site or your local craft store for more ideas.

Anyone else out there have any suggestions on what might be good to start out with?
