Let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is Melanie Hansen. I am a Work At Home Mom (WAHM). I created this website to share my passion for scrapbooking. Read my website success story. I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years. I started when my oldest daughter was just a year old. I was hooked right away. I had found a way to express my creativity, while preserving and sharing my family’s stories. Many of my friends and family have started calling me the “Picture Queen”.

My children love to sit and look through their albums. I have received many compliments on my scrapbooks from others, often expressing a desire to capture their memories in a scrapbook album. They say they don't know where to begin, or they don't have the time. Some don't feel that they are creative enough.

For years I worked full time. Through getting married, starting a family and raising my beautiful children. I started looking for ways to earn some money without having to spend so many hours working outside the home, and sending my children to daycare.

My time is very valuable; I wanted to spend my time doing things that I am passionate about. While I didn't mind working in bookkeeping and sales, I didn't have a passion for that. Scrapbooking is my passion, but how could I make money doing that? That was a hobby that I put money into.

I began to search for a way to make money scrapbooking. I tried to share what I knew about scrapbooking with as many people as I could. I began to look at the Internet as a way to reach more people. I started designing a website, but didn't know how to generate the traffic needed to have a successful site. I put my ideas on the back burner and continued to work at my job.

Shortly after my son was born some friends introduced me to Site Build It or SBI. After talking to my friends, and learning about their success, I visited the SBI website and read about others who were using their passions and hobbies to generate income.

I immediately saw the potential to make my dream a reality. Well, life happens and it was several months before I took the plunge.

I haven't been back to work outside the home since the baby, and now I am finally doing what I love, and making money doing it with Site Build It! Read my website success story.
